Data Management

Database Design
All client databases and telemarketing systems are designed in-house. Systems are created using Visual Basic, MS Access and SQL. This allows us greater flexibility to meet the requirements of the client and the project. Data is stored securely on the network behind a firewall and the database server does not have a direct connection to the internet.

Data Capture
We can enter customer data from a variety of sources, be they printed matter, audio tapes, emails, etc.  UK addresses can be verified against PAF (the Postcode Address File) to ensure their accuracy.

List Cleaning
We are able to manually clean lists that do not have a consistent format, including creating salutations where required, splitting addresses into their component parts and correcting text casing. Data can be accepted in a wide variety of formats including spreadsheets, comma and tab delimited files and tabulated documents. Lists can be cross-referenced to remove conflicting records, insert additional data held on another list or compiled into master tables containing all your client information in one table.

De-duplication
De-duplication can be done on supplied or cleaned lists to remove multiple records for the same contact, saving you postage, materials and removing erroneous records from your data.

MPS/TPS
Screening databases with the Mailing Preference Service file ensures that recipients that do not wish to receive commercial mail are removed from your lists. This saves you the cost of posting the mail piece and the negative connotations the recipient will have of your company for sending it. You can also screen addresses against the Mortascreen which removes the names of the deceased. This prevents the distress caused to relatives of the deceased receiving mail long after the death has been registered.
